The No. 2 ranked Grand Rapids Community College Volleyball team came out strong, defeating Kellogg Community College in three–straight sets (25-13, 25-23, 25-18) on Tuesday at the Ford Fieldhouse.
With the win, the Raiders extended their win streak to six matches and are 12-2 for the season, and has now beaten KCC in 15 straight matches and 42 straight sets.
“Grand Rapids is No. 2 in the nation for a reason,” said Kellogg Coach Amy Julien. “Our team showed up, I can’t be disappointed.”
GRCC never trailed in any of the three sets.
“The first set we really came out clicking, I think our offense was a bi-product of how good of defense we were playing,” GRCC Coach Chip Will said. “We went with a little bit (of a) different lineup.”
