This week’s list of things to do includes concerts, a free outdoor movie and a play.
The Pyramid Scheme is presenting Bamfomania, The Seventh and Razz Na$-T at 8 p.m Friday. All three acts are local hip hop outfits. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the show. Guests of all ages are welcome to attend.
Founders Brewery will be presenting Desmond Jones with special guest Everyday Junior at 9:30 p.m Saturday. Desmond Jones is a five piece jazz/funk/rock fusion band from Grand Rapids. Everyday Junior is a Michigan based psychedelic/progressive/funk band. Tickets are $5. Guests 21 and up are welcome.
“Edward Scissor Hands” will be screened at Ah-Nab-Awen Park at 7 p.m Friday. This will be the second to last movie screened in the park for the summer series. Guests may bring their own food and beverages, alcohol included to the screenings. Food and beverage vendors will also be on site. The next Movies in the Park screening will be August 19 with the movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and a yet to be named viewers’ choice movie.
The final performances of “The Good Doctor” at the GRCC Spectrum Blackbox Theatre will be this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. All three performances begin at 8 p.m. “The Good Doctor” is a play loosely based on Anton Chekhov’s plays and short stories. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors, and $10 for students. Tickets are available via the theatre website.
