The Grand Rapids Community College men’s basketball team “clicked offensively,” in their away game according to Head Coach Luke Bronkema, and defeated Glen Oaks Community College Wednesday, Jan. 11, 92-63. They’re now 6-8 on the season.
Bronkema was happy with the team’s play and how they were “well balanced on offense.”
“We had four guys in double digits,” Bronkema said about players scoring against Glen Oaks CC. “We played really well offensively and our stops on defense led to easy buckets on the night.”
Bronkema is happy with where the team is, and is looking to continue steady improvement on the season.
“We’re just trying to improve every day and get a little better for the next game we play,” Bronkema said.
After the win tonight, the men’s team will play Lake Michigan College at 7:30, Friday, at the Ford Fieldhouse and Bronkema is doing what he can to get the guys ready and improve on “following the game plan.”
“Lake Michigan College is 2-0 in the conference so far and we know they’re a pretty good team,” Bronkema said. “So we just need to execute our game plan against them.”
