A job fair open to the public is being hosted by Grand Rapids Community College through Feb. 16.
The free event will be held at 10am-1:00pm, to Feb 16, in GRCC’s Main Building Room 55, Students should come dressed for an interview as there will be 10 employers each day, including Verizon, Amway and the Hope Network. Students are encouraged to update and bring copies of their resumés for the event.
“There will be a good range of employers,” said Serena Cox, head of Student Employment Services at GRCC. “The fair will offer entry-level jobs such as production work, to skilled jobs with nursing.”
The fair is open to GRCC students, alumni and members of the Grand Rapids community. Many employers will be looking to hire, and many students take up summer employment.
“The goal is to connect students in the West Michigan area with employers,” Cox said.
