It was a tough shooting night for the Grand Rapids Community College women’s basketball team, shooting just 28 percent from the field Wednesday night.
Despite the tough night offensively, the Raiders are getting better at executing the little things on the court.
“We played very decent,” said Head Coach Dave Glazier. “This is probably the most solid four quarters we played all season, didn’t shoot the ball well, but we did all of the little things.”
GRCC was within eight points heading into the fourth quarter, but was outscored by 13 points.
“We will always continue to work on the little things,” Glazier said. “Might change up our defensive scheme a little bit and get more shots up in practice.”
Freshman Guard Makayla Beld lead the way with 11 points, six rebounds and two steals.
Along with Freshman Guard Allazae Lloyd who finished with 12 points, two blocks and three steals.
The next game will be at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 17 versus Ancilla College at the GRCC Fieldhouse. Admission is free and concessions are available to spectators of the game.
