The Week Ahead features many fun events to check out in the Grand Rapids area.
“The Go Rounds” and “Vox Vidorra” will be performing at 8 p.m., Friday March 24 at the Pyramid Scheme, 68 Commerce Avenue SW. Both bands are from West Michigan and have considerable local name recognition. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Guests age 21 and above are welcome.
Chase Bryant and special guests River Melcher and DJ Jay Vee will be playing at 6:30 p.m., Saturday March 25 at the Intersection, 133 Grandville Avenue. Chase Bryant is a country musician whose grandfather played with the likes of Roy Orbison, and Waylon Jennings. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 do of show. Guests of all ages are welcome.
“The Drunken Retort” is hosted at 8 p.m. every Monday night at Stella’s Lounge, 53 Commerce Avenue. The night features local poetry, acoustic music and comedy. The event is free and features several drink specials. Guests aged 21 and up are welcome.
“The Big Lebowski,” starring Jeff Bridges, Steve Buscemi, and John Goodman will be screened at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 28 at The Wealthy Theater, 1130 Wealthy Street. SE. The film is a cult classic which follows a group of friends who become entangled in a kidnapping scheme after one of their rugs is ruined. Tickets are $6 for non-members and $5 for members. Members can also purchase alcohol at the theater. Guests of all ages are welcome.
