Looking for fun summer activities in Grand Rapids? Look no further than GR’s Movies In The Park. Every other Friday from June through August, classic and modern movies will be projected on a large screen in Ah-Nah-Awen Park.
Many movies are considered cult hits. With some very iconic movie figures. Dressing in costume, and cosplay is encouraged.
“We’re taking Movies in the Park to a new level this year with the addition of a 400 square foot LED video wall and a double feature each of the six movie nights,” said Chief Outcomes Officer Andy Guy. “We invite Grand Rapidians to pack a picnic, grab a favorite blanket or chair and enjoy a night out under the stars watching fantastic films for free beside the Grand Rapids.”
Pre-movie entertainment will start at 6:30 p.m. and includes, a live DJ, film fan facts, photo booths and food vendors. With two movie presentations each night at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
The 2017 season line up will be:

- “Mrs. Doubtfire”
- “Forest Gump”
- “The Book Of Life”
- “Star Trek”
- “The Bodyguard’
- “Remember The Titans”
