The Kent District Library and Schuler Books & Music are teaming up for the 6th annual Write Michigan Short Story Contest.
Michigan residents of age 18 years and up can enter and there is a $10 entry fee. Participants interested in entering the contest can submit their stories from now to Nov. 30. The entries can be written in either Spanish or English.
All participants must sign up for a new account regardless of re-entering for this year’s contest.
The top 10 entries from the Adult, Teen, Youth and Spanish-Language will go on to the Semi- Finals which will be on Jan. 9, 2018. The top five entry winners will be announced on Feb. 5 with the award ceremony on Mar. 17. Those who win will receive a cash prize of $250 and their entries will be published by Chapbook Press.
