The GRCC Raiders (28-1,12-0) defeated the Jackson Jets (16-15,6-6) in the final home game of the season, winning the Conference Championship in the process.
The Raiders dominated the Jets in every way during the first two sets, which they won 25-5 and 25-10. Then the third set came, and the Jets revamped their play and battled the Raiders to the brink, eventually faltering to the Raiders attack 28-26.
Nicole Czehowski and Kourtney Wolters led the team with nine kills each, while Kaitlyn Wolters had 27 assists. Czehkowski also had 8 digs to lead the team in that category as well.
The Raiders dominance today capped off what has been Coach Chip Well’s most successful season thus far.
The MCCAA tournament begins Oct. 27.
