Tomorrow’s Student Leadership Advisory Council meeting will include a talk by State Rep. Brandon Dillon, D-Grand Rapids. Topics will include his time in state government and current issues, followed by a question and answer segment.
“Brandon Dillon is not only a State Representative, but also a GRCC alum,” said Nic Bush, SLAC member and President of Grand Rapids Community College’s StandOUT. “It will be a beneficial networking opportunity for all students in attendance.”
SLAC hopes that having Dillon come and talk to students will help bridge a gap between youth and elected officials.
The draft of Student Congress’ new Constitution was also slated to debut at the meeting, but has been delayed.
The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room on the second floor of the Student Community Center.
