On Thursday April 11, a Film Fashion Showcase will be taking place at the Pyramid Scheme downtown from 7 to 9 pm. Costumer designer Bernadine Vida will be a part of this event, in collaboration with the fashion departments of Vida and Kendall College of Art and Design.
Students are going to be showing looks inspired by the movie Grease, using clips and images from the movie. “The students have used it as inspiration. They’re going to present different themes in different motifs,” said Jennifer Shaneberger, the director of the Grand Rapids Film Festival.
The film festival runs from April 9 to April 13 with tickets for events ranging from $5 to $30. Tickets for the Film Fashion Showcase are $10 and can be purchased online at http://grfilmfestival.com.
