Coast Guard Festival

The largest annual event in Grand Haven returns Friday, July 25 through Sunday, Aug. 3. The festival pays tribute to the U.S. Coast Guard and will include 10 days of live music, parades, food, ship tours, a carnival and more. Tickets are $3 to $20 and include a $1 fee for fireworks. Taste of Grand Rapids

Fifth Third Ballpark will be hosting the annual Taste of Grand Rapids festival on Friday and Saturday, which will include a barbeque competition with a $5000 grand prize. Live music acts include country music singer Jackie Lee and local rock group Three’s a Crowd. The event starts at 3 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. The Hard Lessons at the Pyramid Scheme

East Lansing based indie rock group The Hard Lessons will be performing at the Pyramid Scheme on Friday. Opening acts include The Juno Blacklist and Silent Lions. The concert is all ages and begins at 8 p.m., tickets are $12 at the door. For more details, visit www.pyramidschemebar.com

We As Human at the Intersection

Christian rock band We As Human will be playing at the Intersection on Friday. Opening acts are Edge From Falling and Hairmania. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $12. More details can be found at www.sectionlive.com

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Grand Rapids Civic Theatre will be premiering C.S. Lewis’ fantasy tale “The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe” Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Limited tickets are available for $10-$16 and the show is all ages. For tickets and upcoming showtimes, visit www.grct.org
