Among the available facilities at Grand Rapids Community College, the Health Club offers students a place to work out right on campus.

Located in the Ford Fieldhouse, the Health Club is available to all students and faculty free of charge. It includes a weight room, cardio room, basketball court, pool, and indoor track. Community members can also get access by purchasing a membership.

There are four different memberships available to the public, including a $10 daily membership.

The Ford Fieldhouse was opened in 1976 and it is also the building where GRCC athletic teams train and compete in intercollegiate sports. The College has men’s and women’s teams in the disciplines of tennis, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, and volleyball. Also, men’s and women’s cross country teams were recently added and will start their inaugural seasons this fall.

All these teams, except for tennis, participate in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association.

Besides intercollegiate sports, physical education classes also take place at the Ford Fieldhouse. The classes offered range from specific courses for Exercise Science majors to Wellness courses for an Associate Degree. These classes are instructed by the Exercise Science Department.

The Ford Fieldhouse is located at 226 Lyon St. NE., and is open Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
