Plymouth, IN– The Grand Rapids Community College Raiders volleyball team beat host Ancilla College 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-12) on Thursday night.
Coming out with a lot more life and energy than in the past couple matches GRCC got the job done quick.
“We had a really good practice yesterday and that kind of correlated into how we came out today to play.” Coach Chip Will said. “We had high energy, a lot good work ethic yesterday ”
GRCC came out and dominated each and every set.
“Obviously Grand Rapids is a very good team” Ancilla coach Lana Singleton said. “We didn’t have any answers for their offence and when we started swinging they blocked everything”
GRCC also used their team depth, bringing in players off the bench, when a starter was not getting the job done.
“It was great to get in and help the team.” Right side hitter Jenna Karel said, who contributed with three digs, two kills, and one assist.
Amanda Glaza and Rosalyn Wyse totaled 11 digs each. Michelle Holland had seven kills. Jamie Barrows added seven assists.
The Raiders will host Kellogg Community College at 6:30 PM Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Ford Fieldhouse.
