The Grand Rapids Community College men’s basketball team snapped a two game losing streak after defeating Ancilla College 78-64 Wednesday at Ford Field House and improving to 8-6 for the season.
Never trailing in the game, GRCC was able to play two solid halves of a fast-paced physical basketball game.
“Tonight we were able to put it all together,” GRCC coach David Salmon said, “I was very proud of the kids.”
Cameron Burhannon, one of six players that had been added to the roster over the semester break acquired a double-double with 23 points that led all scoring and 10 rebounds.
“I stayed patient and got my teammates involved more,” Â Burhannon said, “I have to put them first before myself.”
DeMarkus Stuckey added 17 points and 7 assist and Kevin Brower contributed with 13 rebounds.
GRCC Â plays at Jackson College (6-9) at 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
