ArtPrize Seven starts tomorrow

The seventh annual ArtPrize will feature over 1,500 pieces of art at over 160 venues across three square miles of downtown Grand Rapids. The event begins Wednesday and goes through Oct. 11.

The ArtPrize Metro Pass will be offered as a discounted transportation. The pass includes unlimited rides on the SilverLine and 10 free rides on all of The Rapid fixed routes throughout the event. The passes are $5 each and include an event guide. The passes and event guides are on sale now at area Meijer stores and will soon be sold at the ArtPrize HUB and Voting Sites. Meijer stores will also serve as a Park & Ride locations throughout ArtPrize.

For those looking for a virtual event guide and voting platform, the ArtPrize app is ready to download.

Voting at ArtPrize will follow in the same style as last year. Two $200,000 awards and eight category awards will be handed out to winners of public and juried vote, totaling to over $500,000 in prizes. Winners will be announced Oct. 9.
