At approximately 2 p.m. today Grand Rapids Community College Police Officers responded to an unarmed robbery on the north end of the second level of the Bostwick Parking Ramp.
A female student said she parked her car, and upon exiting her car with belongings in hand, a white male, reportedly in his 20s, attempted to grab a basket from her.
The student described the suspect as short, with medium length, curly, light brown hair and possibly facial hair, wearing a backwards flat-billed baseball cap, jeans and a dark colored backpack.
The GRCC police encouraged students in an email alert to be aware of their surroundings and call 234-4911 or 911 to report any suspicious behavior.
GRCC Police Chief Rebecca Whitman was unavailable for comment following the incident.
