Earlier today, Grand Rapids Community College students expressed concern about the situation and don’t understand why it took so long for something to be done.

Human Resources major Kayla Lindquist, 18, “hopes he puts the people first.”

“Obviously with the city of Flint and everything that they’re going through, I hope that he’s reasonable about it,” Lindquist said.

Student Mariah Branden, 21, said she hopes the governor “admits to his mistakes.”

Branden said “He and the Michigan government knew about this for so long and haven’t done anything about it.”

The State of the State address will be tonight at 7 p.m. You can watch the live stream here.
