The Grand Rapids Community College Raiders fell to the Stars of Lansing Community College 119-77 on Friday.
The Stars had big games from four different players resulting in finishing with six players in double figures: Javon Haines (25 points), Mike Johnson (21), Jimmy Kodet (19), Brian Morton (11), Curtis Davison (19), and Edward Smith (10). The Stars did most of their damage behind the arc knocking down 11 3-pointers.
The Raiders tried to answer the 3-point barrage, but only made 4 of 23 attempts. Offense was hard to come by for GRCC at pivotal moments in the game, as the game slipped away.
“It was just embarrassing.” GRCC coach Michael Spicer mentioned later in the week.
Coach Spicer showed frustration throughout the game as it ended with his team on the losing end.
GRCC was led by Michael Spicer (18), Abdul McGraw (17), Andre Pratcher (16) and Claude Finley (10).
