This weekend’s things to do list includes a dance party, a concert and a family oriented mini golf game.
The Pyramid Scheme is presenting “Super Soul/A Dance Party and Costume Contest for the Ages,” Friday at 9 p.m. The event is being presented by Vault of Midnight and Grand Rapids Soul Club. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 day of the show. Guests 21 and up are welcome to attend.
The Intersection will be presenting Motion City Soundtrack with special guests A Great Big Pile of Leaves, Rozwell Kid, and The War Between on Saturday at 7 p.m. This is Motion City Soundtrack’s farewell tour. Motion City Soundtrack is a rock band from Minneapolis who achieved mainstream success in the 2000s. A Great Big Pile of Leaves is emo/indie rock from New York. Rozwell Kid is indie rock from West Virginia. The War Between is a rock group from Grand Rapids. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 day of the show. The event is open to guests of all ages.
The Grand Rapids Public Library will be hosting mini golf games Saturday between 11 a.m and 4 p.m. The library will be transforming its hallways and floors into an 18-hole mini golf course. The event is family friendly and requires registration for tee time as space will be limited. The event is free and open to the public. All adults must be accompanied by a child as this is a youth orientated event.
