About 2,600 pounds of paper was shredded Wednesday outside the Main Building at Grand Rapids Community College.

GRCC employees were working to shred and dispose many boxes of outdated records from the college’s vault that is cleared out occasionally, said Bob Green, Building Manager.

“In the vault we typically keep old documents, like accounts payable, accounts receivable,” Green said.

GRCC employees were unloading the boxes from a room on level G2 in the Main building and taking them to a truck outside the building where they were shredded and disposed of.
