Enrollment numbers for the fall semester at Grand Rapids Community College are higher than administrators predicted, still lower than last year

At today’s GRCC Board of Trustees meeting, Vice President of Finance and Administration Lisa Frieburger said the college predicted enrollment to fall 6 percent this fall, but the actual decrease was 3.6 percent.

Total enrollment this fall is 14,465 students, compared to last year’s total headcount of 14,938 students.

“We are very pleased that we are better than budget at this point in time,” Frieburger told the board, adding that the budget is $650,000 above fall projection.
