Ethan Watters at the Diversity Lecture Series

Author Ethan Watters will be speaking for the Diversity Lecture Series on October 26

Author Ethan Watters will be coming to Grand Rapids Community College on Oct. 26 to speak during the next installment of the Diversity Lecture Series.

This will be the second of four speeches in this year’s series, each one free for the public to attend. The Diversity Lecture Series takes place in the Fountain Street Church, 24 Fountain Street NE.

Watters is an author and journalist based in San Francisco. In the past, he has written articles for The New York Times, Esquire, and Men’s Journal, as well as having written the books “Making Monsters,” “Urban Times,” and most recently “Crazy Like Us: The Globalization of the American Psyche.” He is also the co-founder of the San Francisco Writer’s Grotto, where he and other professional writers come together and teach classes for novices.

The 22nd Diversity Lecture Series will continue during the spring with educator Consuela Ward and filmmaker Dawn Porter.
