Several top political figures are in Michigan today rallying just hours before Election Day voting begins.
- President Barack Obama rallied this morning in Ann Arbor for Hillary Clinton.
- Ivanka and Tiffany Trump spoke in Hudsonville this morning at a community Q&A.
- WoodTV8 is reporting that Mike Pence will be in Traverse City today and Donald Trump Jr. will be in Warren and Detroit today as well.
Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton is expected to rally at 4 p.m. at Grand Valley State University’s Allendale Campus. Doors open at 2 p.m.
Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump is expected to rally at 11 p.m. at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids.
Grand Rapids Community College Political Science Professor Keith St. Clair said Michigan is a vital state in deciding election results tomorrow.
“The current path to 270 electoral college votes for Donald Trump seems most viable with Michigan,” St. Clair said. “It is the one blue state that he has the greatest chance of flipping according to the polls. And he needs to flip one blue state to win the required number of electors. Although he still needs to win Florida, that alone won’t give it to him. He needs a Michigan. That is the reason for why both sides are spending the closing days of the campaign in Michigan. If Trump does pull off a win tomorrow, it will be because he won Michigan.”
The polls open tomorrow at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8.
