This week’s list of things to do includes a concert, a Shakespearean play, and the beginning of Cocktail Week here in Grand Rapids.
The Pyramid Scheme is hosting the bands PUP, Meatwave, and Chastity at 7 p.m Friday. PUP is a pop-punk band from Ontario, Canada. Meatwave is pop/rock/punk from Chicago. Chastity is a punk band from Whitby Ontario. Tickets are $15 at the door and all ages are welcome.
The Dog Story Theater is presenting Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” Friday through Sunday. With showtime at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday. The play is being performed by The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company. Tickets are $14 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. All ages are welcome.
Cocktail Week in Grand Rapids is already under way and will continue through Sunday, Nov. 20. Many local establishments are offering two cocktails and an appetizer for $25 or under. Some of the participating establishments are Long Road Distillers, Grey Skies Distillery and The Knickerbocker. Visit the experience GR website for more information.
