Upcoming protests and rallies in Grand Rapids

Protesters created signs voicing their opinions on the increasing income gap and elitism in the Untied States.

Many people are coming together in Grand Rapids to unite for and against President Donald Trump and his recent executive orders. Here’s a list of free public events, both Democratic and Republican, that are happening in the next few weeks.

Marcha de Dignidad y Respeto para Todos los Inmigrantes

The march, “Marcha de Dignidad y Respeto para Todos los Inmigrantes”, or “March for Dignity and Respect for all Immigrants”, is happening at 4:30 p.m. today at the Calder Plaza, 250 Monroe Ave.

March 4 Trump

The March 4 Trump is happening from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, March 4 at the Calder Plaza. This event is a peaceful demonstration in support of Trump and is through the Michigan chapter of the March 4 Trump movement.

March 4 America

The March 4 America is happening from 1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, March 4 at Rosa Parks Circle, 135 Monroe Center Street. This event is being hosted by Indivisible West Michigan.  

Immigrant Connection 101

Immigrant Connection 101 is happening from 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, March 5 at the Immigrant Connection at City Life Church, 574 South Division Avenue. This event is to inform people on what this organization is about, why people should care about refugees and immigrants, and how people can get involved.

Tax Day March in Grand Rapids

The Tax Day March in Grand Rapids is happening at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15 at Rosa Parks Circle. This event is to protest Trump’s refusal to release his tax returns.

Trump Show Us Your Taxes

The Trump Show Us Your Taxes protest is happening at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15 at the Calder Plaza. It is being hosted by Michigan’s Third Democratic Congressional District. This event is also to protest Trump’s tax returns, and will have elected leaders and speakers.
