On May 18 at 10 a.m., a Grand Rapids Community College police officer encountered a vehicle that had some damage to it. The incident took place on Bostwick Ave near the Crescent St. Park.
The vehicle was parked at a meter adjacent on the west curbside of Bostwick Ave. A large tree limb fell over due to high winds and landed across the hood of the vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle. During this time the vehicle owner was by the vehicle.
The Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department was called and the forestry services responded to the scene to assist with the removal of the tree limb and the cleanup.
The incident was cleared at 11:20 a.m. No other action was taken.
