On Sept. 9, at approximately 5:08 p.m., a Grand Rapids Community College police officer was dispatched to a skateboard compliant called in by Sgt. Jesse Heard on the first floor of Bostwick Ramp.
Upon arrival, the officer located three individuals walking while holding their skateboards. The officer advised them that there were no skateboards allowed, and then they left the area.
At 5:21 p.m., the officer was contacted by Officer Martin Ruiz, who made contact with the same individuals in Ramp 2 of the Lyon Ramp at 25 Lyon St. He advised that he witness them skateboarding on the area.
The officer came into contact with the same three individuals. They said that they were trying the seek cover from the rain. The subjects were told again that there was no skateboarding on the premise and asked for the officer to reiterate what he said. After, the three left.
