App Tuesday – Make a new friend in Grand Rapids with the Yote app

Finals are just around the corner, folks. If you’re looking for a study buddy, or just a buddy, consider the Yote app as your next download.

Yote allows you to broadcast a message about what you’re doing or where you are so that those around you who share your interests can connect with you. With Yote you can make new friends, find someone to study with, meet new people and connect with people around you with minimal awkwardness.

Yote, created by brothers Matt and Anthony Warner in 2017, is a locally developed app. The Warner brothers, Grand Rapidians themselves, created the app to help Michiganders interact on the streets of Grand Rapids. Recently, the Warner brothers were featured on local news station Fox17 where they explain further details of the app.

You’ll find Yote on the App Store on iOS devices and is free to download.

Are you connecting on Yote? What other apps do you use to connect with people? Have a favorite app we should feature? Let us know in the comments!
