GRCC professor David Cope to read latest poems at GRCC

West Michigan poet David Cope will be visiting Grand rapids Community College for a reading of his newest book, “The Invisible Keys,” and other select poems, on Thurs., April 12, at 7 p.m.  

Cope, was born in Detroit in 1948, and grew up in Western Michigan. Cope is a Michigan University graduate, and taught at both at GRCC and Western Michigan University.

With over five poetry books, GRCC is excited to host Cope to read from his newest book, and also selected poetry from his other books.. Cope also served as Grand Rapids’ fourth poet laureate after being appointed by the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids.

Cope will be at GRCC’s Learning Center Library and Learning Commons to present his poetry followed by a book signing. Copies of his newest book, “The Invisible Keys, New and Selected Poems,” will be available for purchase for $16. (cash or check only).
