App Tuesday – Organize your summer adventures with these travel apps

Summer is officially here, Raiders, and hopefully your summer will be filled with vacations, road trips and adventure. Get to your summer destinations easily with this week’s featured apps (that’s right two), Google Trips and PackPoint.

Google Trips keeps all of your trip’s details in one place. The app syncs with other Google apps to save your trip information like hotel and flight reservations from Gmail and saved places from Google Maps. Trips also features popular activities to do during your trip, has a day plan option which shows kid-friendly attractions, a discounts tab showing discounts on travel experiences and destination and a food and drinks section.

Now, for those type A personalities out there, like this reporter, PackPoint is the perfect app to go along with Google Trips. PackPoint is a neat little app that tells you exactly what to pack for each trip based on where you’re going. Going to Miami Beach for a week or two? According to PackPoint you should remember to take a swimsuit and coverup, sandals, a camera bag, sunscreen, beach towel and more. You can check off what items you’ll be taking or add your own items if they’re not already mentioned in the list.

Both of these apps are free to download on iOS and Android devices.

What apps will you be using for travel this summer? Let me know in the comments!
