Parking in Grand Rapids is changing, so ditch the pocket change and download the newest parking app, Motu Parking which has replaced the ParkMobile app for parking in Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapidians can park in the streets of downtown easily with Motu Parking by first downloading the app and setting up an account with Motu. The setup process takes a mere five seconds since the app only asks for an email or phone number and a pin to confirm either one. Users can immediately start a new parking session, add payment options or add vehicles to their profile.

Drivers can park anywhere using Motu wherever the Motu logo appears on meters. To start a session, simply enter the zone number. Zone numbers in Grand Rapids range from 50200 to 70299. Once a parking session has begun, drivers can choose from two different forms of payment, either a credit card or a “Wallet.” The “Wallet” option in the app is a sort of coupon/prepaid option where users can purchase a wallet for a specified amount during a new parking session. Once a wallet has been purchased, users can reload it in increments of $5 between $10 and $50 at a time for parking sessions, according to Motu’s FAQ page. For more information on Motu Parking or parking in Grand Rapids, contact MobileGR’s customer service at 3-1-1 or (616) 456-3000.

Motu Parking is free to download on iOS and Android devices, so hit the streets and enjoy hassle-free parking this summer, Grand Rapidians.
