App Tuesday – Breeze through customs with Mobile Passport

Looking to take any last minute trips around the world? If so, let me know. Then, download the Mobile Passport app on your phone to help get through customs without raising your blood pressure.

The Mobile Passport app is officially authorized by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and is designed to get travelers through customs faster and easier when entering the U.S. by plane or ship. Travelers will still need to show their passports when passing through customs at the airport or port of entry, but can skip the questions (and thus the long lines) with the app.

So far, the Mobile Passport app can be used at 25 airports and one cruise port around the country which means you won’t find the magical short customs line at every airport. But at least the bigger ones are covered like Miami (MIA), Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Los Angeles (LAX). The app is free to download on Android and iOS devices.

Sadly, I have yet to travel out of the country this year, so I haven’t had the opportunity to try this app myself. So readers, if you travel anywhere out of the country before school starts and use this app, I’d love to hear your experiences. Let me know in the comments!
