Welcome back, readers! School is back in session and in full swing at Grand Rapids Community College. Soon we’ll be working on papers, homework, exams and everything in between that the new semester offers us. Welcome all of the above with these apps to help make the semester a breeze.

Keep up with grades, homework assignments, due dates and more with the Blackboard app. The mobile friendly version of Blackboard has similar features to the online version like the activity stream, courses, organizations and more. Setting up the app with your account is easy, too. After download, enter your school’s name and Blackboard username and password. That’s it. The app is available for free download on Android and iOS devices.

Easily recharge your RaiderCard from your smartphone with the Blackboard Transact Mobile eAccounts app. The app lets students deposit money onto the card, check previous transactions and report a lost card right from your smartphone. Setup is similar to the Blackboard app. Just search for your school and enter your Blackboard username and password. The eAccounts app is available on both iOS and Android devices for free download.

Google Docs

Need to write a research paper on the go? With the Google Docs app, you can. The app lets you write, edit, suggest and comment just like the online version. Since it’s a Google product, you can use your GRCC email account to login and get to writing those papers. The app is available for free download in the App Store and Google Play.

Have you used any of these apps? Do you have a helpful school app? Let me know in the comments!
