Antighost, the alternative rock band, is performing at 7 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 18 at The Pyramid Scheme, located at 68 Commerce Dr. SW Grand Rapids, along with Martyr for Madison, Lokella, Fire Said the Albatross and City State.

Antighost is a Michigan band that started performing live in 2016. The band was recently on tour, but took a break to work on a new record. However, they didn’t want to miss a chance to perform for their Grand Rapids fans when the opportunity presented itself. Antighost members are Sean Shepard, guitarist and lead singer, Dylan Vanderson, drummer and Joe Bida the bassist. Their music could be listed as punk, grunge or alternative rock.

In a phone interview with the band drummer and former Grand Rapids Community College student, Vanderson talked about the band’s musical inspiration.

“We take inspiration from different sources,” Vanderson said. “Music, movies, TV shows… we grew up listening to Nirvana, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and many other great bands that definitely shaped our style.”

Tickets are $10 for the all ages concert. For tickets and more information go to The Pyramid Scheme website.
