Future Grand Rapids Community College graduates are invited to GRADfest between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2 at the Wisner-Bottrall Applied Technology Center (ATC) in rooms 118-124 and the Atrium to get any questions about graduation and transferring to a university answered.

Students will have the ability to receive the materials and knowledge they need to graduate.

Caps, gowns and tassels will be exclusively sold for $32 plus tax at GRADfest. Cash, checks, credit cards and RaiderCards will all be accepted for payments. Students may also discuss financial aid refunds with a staff member. Other graduation gifts and accessories will also be available to buy like a class ring from Josten’s representatives.

In addition, students will have the opportunity to decorate their graduation caps and enjoy snacks and beverages for free.

For those who visit the Alumni Relations table, all graduating students will receive a free stole. The golden stole is worn with the cap and gown during the graduation ceremony. The “Stole of Appreciation” is a symbol of gratitude by the GRCC Foundation and Alumni to celebrate the academic accomplishments for the class of 2019. Students can continue the tradition by awarding their mentor with the stole after the graduation ceremony. Students can also share inspirational stories about their role model at the GRCC Foundation Alumni Relations webpage on GRCC’s main site.

Qualified students may pick up honors and awards for various accomplishments during GRADfest.

A photoshoot of a professional headshot for future resumes will be available for graduating students. The photoshoot is free of charge and digital downloads will be available after the event.
