Meet Lord Dlew, a 20-year-old audio engineering major at Grand Rapids Community College and multi-talented producer, rapper and performer. A Chicago transplant, Dlew is currently bringing the best rappers from Grand Rapids together on an album to bolster a somewhat stagnant scene. With an infectious attitude, Dlew’s Soundcloud bills him as a “super-producer in the making,” an understandable claim as his already saturated discography sounds as impressive as your favorite artist. The Collegiate sat down with Dlew for a conversation on his beginnings, upcoming music and where Grand Rapids hip-hop and R&B is headed.
