The Exam Cram, featuring tutoring, an art workshop, free snacks, and library fine waivers, is going on this week at the Grand Rapids Community College Library, Learning Center Building.
Tutoring will be held on the second floor. Studying time starts at 10 a.m.-10 p.m. This offers a quiet place to study for students and also free snacks are available. Specific labs and tutors will be available for students looking for assistance. If you have library fines, request to have them waived for free. All students have to do is show up and ask for these fines to be removed.
Students and staff will have the opportunity take part in the embroidery workshop taught by Jennifer Ackerman-Haywood. The workshop takes place from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the Learning Center lobby. Participants will learn basic stitches and receive all supplies including embroidery hoops, a sampler to stitch, needles and thread.
“The workshop is intended to teach students a skill that they can use to relax and be creative long after the workshop is over,” Ackerman-Haywood said.
