Grand Rapids Community College will be conducting a full-scale test on the new campus building security which will occur at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10.

According to an email sent to GRCC students explaining the drill, the new system puts all GRCC buildings in a lock-down state. This includes Main Campus, DeVos Campus and Tassell M-TEC.

The College plans to run two lockdown tests both occurring for a duration of 10 minutes. These tests will not disrupt campus activities along with offices and services which will remain open. Staff will be positioned at building entrances to allow students and guests to continue to move between buildings. The coordinators will be wearing yellow visibility vests to help assist during the testing period. Employees will also have building access using their Raider Cards.

If there are any questions or concerns about the testing, you may contact Campus Police through their non-emergency number 616- 234-4010 or Vicki Janowiak.
