Hit & Run reported at Bostwick/Ransom parking garage
According to a Campus Police report, at about 1 p.m. on Dec. 5, a civilian called in to report a hit and run on the north side of level 4 in the parking garage located between Bostwick Commons and Ransom Street. When the officer arrived, both vehicles in question were still on scene. The vehicle of the “perpetrator” was parked a few spaces away from the car it had struck, after being unable to fit in the space.
There was minor damage to both vehicles. Letters were sent to the addresses of the owners of the vehicles. The perpetrator responded to said letter and was forced to notify their insurance agency. They apologized and said they panicked and didn’t know what to do after hitting the other vehicle. The victim hasn’t responded to the letter. No further action is being taken.
