On Dec. 8, Grand Rapids Community College will be hosting another COVID-19 vaccination and booster shot clinic, as well as a virtual coffee and conversation meeting with President Bill Pink.
The conversation with Pink will be at 2 p.m. and is available through livestream on GRCC’s YouTube channel. This event was created so GRCC leaders can talk directly to GRCC students and faculty about campus related events.
“Coffee and Conversation is one of the ways members of the GRCC family can hear directly from campus leaders about events and issues and ask questions,” said GRCC Communications Director Dave Murray. “President Pink started conducting these sessions during the height of the pandemic when it was impossible to bring everyone together in one room to share news. They’ve proven popular and effective, and have continued.”

GRCC will also be hosting a vaccination clinic on Dec. 8 where the GRCC community can get the first and/or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and booster shot. The clinic is located in the Raider Grille in the Student Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This is the third vaccination clinic at GRCC as 190 people received a vaccination or booster shot in the previous two.
“The vaccination clinic is one of the ways GRCC is being relevant and responsive to the people we serve,” Murray said. “We know vaccines can be effective in preventing serious illness and hospitalization due to the virus. Nearly 200 people received vaccinations or booster shots during the last two campus clinics, and we are hoping to assist many people again.”
