Grand Rapids Community College is celebrating the end of the semester with a Campus Carnival on Thursday, April 21.

“Campus Activities Board is putting this on as one giant end of the semester event for all students to enjoy,” said Sherry Sokolowski, president of the Campus Activity Board. “Instead of doing a bunch of smaller events for Finals Relaxer, we decided to do one large event to change things up a bit. It’s sort of a celebration of the end of the semester/school year for all students to enjoy.”

The event is going to be held on the main campus plaza right in front of Cook Hall from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

There will be free food as well as numerous activities, including free carnival themed food, food trucks, caricature artists, dunk tanks, and more.

Some of the food that is going to be served includes popcorn, funnel cakes, cotton candy, and snow cones.

All GRCC students–both current and graduating students–along with faculty and staff are able to attend the event. This event is not open to the public, but “current students can bring one guest with them,” Sokolowski said.
