Breakaway Music Festival returns to Grand Rapids for fifth year

The Breakaway festival is making its highly anticipated return on Aug. 19 and 20.

The festival location is at Belknap Park and  The Chainsmokers and DJ Snake are the headliners.

This will be the fifth year that the popular EDM festival will be in Grand Rapids, the festival is held around the country in other states including Ohio, North Carolina and California.

Other notable artists scheduled to perform include Yung Gravy, Oliver Tree, Two Friends and Sidepiece.

This year the festival will have more onsite activities for those who attend such as Silent Disco, roller rink, and rides.

One cost effective method for GRCC students to travel to this festival is by parking at the GRCC campus and taking the scooters that are located throughout the city to the festival, which is just 1.3 miles away.

Tickets are still available on the Breakaway festival website. One-day passes are $64, while the two-day passes are $104.
