The Heritage restaurant here at Grand Rapids Community College will be featuring Chef Angus Campbell, a former GRCC faculty member who also starred in the series “Cooking with Angus,” and fellow chef Nicola Conte Oct. 26 – 27.
This event has already been booked but this is the first event held at the newly renovated Heritage restaurant as they were previously serving out of a temporary space for two and half years.
“Peter Secchia donated almost $6 million for a piazza renovation and a restaurant renovation and so tomorrow is the first day that we’re also opening in our new space,” said Holly VanRyn, a GRCC associate professor whose CA 115 table serving class staffs the restaurant.
VanRyn hopes to book more events like this in the future. In the meantime, students, staff and community members can reserve a table this fall semester on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. for lunch and 6-7 p.m. for dinner.
The Heritage is located in the GRCC Wisner-Bottrall Applied Technology Center, 151 Fountain Street NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
