On Wednesday, Oct. 2, Grand Rapids Community College hosted the second annual “Lunch with Lepper,” at the Student Plaza, featuring lasagna and a chance to chat with the guest of honor, GRCC President Charles Lepper.
At about 1 p.m., Lepper said about 100 students had turned for the free lunch and noted that food services had provided both meat and vegetable lasagna as well as salad, breadsticks and cookies with there also being lemonade as a beverage. So there was no shortage of food and drink for students to enjoy. Truly a feast fit for a king, or a community college president.
When asked if he talked to alot of interesting people Lepper responded “I have, so lots of stories and also got to see some folks I see out in the community, where they work and good to see them on campus and be able to have conversations with them, as well.”
Lepper said the event was “an opportunity to say thank you to our students. It’s an opportunity to meet our students and check in and see how their experiences are going halfway through the semester.”
Lepper added that, “We appreciate having our students… We are energized by their energy and look forward to continued success for them and let’s continue to have a great year at GRCC.”
