The Center for Counseling and Well-Being is conducting a survey on the student experience that is currently open for all Grand Rapids Community College students. Participants will receive $10 for completing the survey.
The survey will assist in aiding the Center for Counseling and Well-Being to inform mental health resources and programs, and getting the input of the students that benefit from these resources directly is the main focus of this mental health survey.
Melissa Ware, Program Director of the Center for Counseling and Well-Being, said that asking students what they need help with through a survey like this is the best way to ensure that.
“We can devote our time to things that are going to best meet students’ needs,” Ware said.
Ware also wants this survey to be a reminder that there are resources available and people who care about students that are accessible here at GRCC.
Ware said that asking these sorts of questions hopefully “sends the message that people care.”
The survey was sent to all GRCC students via their student email and is open until Nov. 22. All answers and information provided within the survey will remain confidential.
Upon completion of the survey, the previously mentioned $10 will be awarded to students in check form that will be delivered to the address provided during the completion of the survey.
For any questions about the survey or the $10 reward, Ware invites people to contact her at the email address of melissaware@grcc.edu.
