The Grand Rapids Community College Center for Counseling and Well-Being is hosting a workshop series on tips for physical, social and emotional well-being. The final event for this series is Rest Right, a workshop on understanding and improving sleep.
This workshop had its first event on Tuesday, March 11. There will be its second and final workshop on Wednesday, March 26 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in room 336 in the Student Center.
The workshop will focus on the impact of sleep on someone’s overall well-being and how to improve sleep for optimal wellness. Melissa Ware, The Program Director, Assistant Professor and Counselor stated, “Sleep is one of the most important things we can do to take care of our mental health and set ourselves up for academic success.”
Ware encourages students to attend the workshop as this is the first time this sleep series has occurred at GRCC.
“We hope to do more in the future and want to hear about topics students would be interested in learning more about,” she stated.
This will be the last event for this semester, “All students are welcome,” Ware stated.
