The Grand Rapids Community College men’s soccer team is holding an open field on Friday, March 21, from 2 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., at Midwest United’s indoor soccer facility.
Anyone interested in going must have an updated physical and a signed waiver that can be found at this link. Registration is not required to attend this free event.
It is mainly just an open field event, but players interested in potentially making the team can email Head Coach Damiekco Smith ahead of time with a highlight reel and game stats.
The roster is almost full, so prospective players will have to show up and play to impress.
“I’m looking for blue collar players with heart which is something you (can’t) teach,” Smith stated.
