The Grand Rapids Community College men’s soccer team is hosting an open field event on Friday, June 21, from 4-6 p.m. at the Midwest United complex in Kentwood. The team previously hosted an open field event in March and is hosting another one for potential recruits to showcase their talent.
With the season right around the corner, the Raiders are looking to put the finishing touches on their roster before their third season as a program.
“Right now our goal is to continue to compete for a conference championship,” said Raider head coach Damiekco Smith, who is entering his third year with the program. “We have some available roster spots that we are trying to fill to ensure we have a solid team.”
All participants need an updated physical, as well as a waiver for non-GRCC students, which can be found here, and a legal guardian to sign it if they are under 18.
