Grand Rapids Community College’s Homecoming dance is fast approaching, and this year, students cast their votes for a whimsical theme: A Fairy Garden.
The recommended attire for this event is pastel colors. However, the President of the Campus Activities Board, Lacey Hendrie, welcomes different forms of expression for the event.
“It’s a semi-formal dance, but if someone was to come in non-formal attire, we’re not going to turn anyone away,” Hendrie said. “If people want to dress in the theme, I would say pastel colors, or greens, or maybe flowers.”
There will be free food available as well as a live DJ.
The event will be held from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m., on Oct. 3, at the Applied Technology Center – Secchia Piazza, located at 151 Fountain St. NE. There is still time to RSVP. It is not required but recommended. This semi-formal dance is free to all GRCC students who can bring a friend who is 18+.
